Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Plate, pale buff coloured earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, a scalloped edge to the rim; covered all over with a pale blue tin-glaze, this then painted in blue, brown and yellow with to the centre of the well a stylized Chinese-style landscape with two figures, a boat, a pagoda, rocks and trees, the scene enclosed by a circular border of alternating panels of cross-hatching and feathery foliage, border to the rim of classical-style foliate motifs issuing c-scrolls and circles in white tin-calx (also known as 'bianco-sopra-bianco'), the glaze worn off around the rim.
