Clock case, tin-plate, octagonal form with clock fitted into the centre, to the top of the case a large brass ball finial with ring attached, and a brass mount for hanging, to the rear of the case a circular hinged hatch allowing access to the clock mechanism, the hatch held closed by four hasps; the rear of the case covered by a black japan, the front of the case covered with a brown japan and decorated with a border of scrolls and flowers in shades of gilt, bronze and red. The clock, brass, of more recent date than the case, the dial white with roman numerals and two hands, with a brass frame and hinged glass cover.
