Built 1919 as NIEUWE MAAS by NV Werf ‘Conrad’, Zaandam, Netherlands (with engine by Stork & Co. NV, Hengelo, Netherlands) for NV Hollandsche Algemeene Atlantic Shipping Co., Amsterdam, Netherlands. 1922 – Sold to NV Hudig & Pieters Algemeene Scheepvaartmaatschappij, Rotterdam, and renamed BERK. 1930 – Sold to Kohlen Import & Poseidon Schiffahrts AG, Konisberg, Germany, and renamed POSEIDON. She received slight damage during WW2. She was siezed as war reparations at the end of the war and offered to Greece. 1947 – Acquired by Synodinos Brothers, Piraeus, Greece, and renamed MAIOTIS. 1961 – Sold to Leandros Compania Maritima SA, Beirut, Lebanon, and renamed EVANGELOS. In the summer of 1969 she was sold for scrap to the Sind Steel Corporation Ltd., Pakistan, and broken up in the October at Gadani Beach.
