¾ Port bow view of M.V. ANACREON at Cardiff Docks. Tug also in image.

Built 1943 as EMPIRE LORD by William Doxford & Sons Ltd., Sunderland and completed February 1944. 1946 – Sold to United British Steamship Co. Ltd., and renamed ALDINGTON COURT (managed by Haldin & Co Ltd). 1947 – Owners restyled as Court Line Ltd., (same managers). 1959 – Sold to Cosmar Shipping Corp., Piraeus, and renamed ANACREON, .managed by M.C.Fred Hunter Ltd., Brighton. She was registered in Monrovia. 1966 – Sold to Zirda Cia Nav SA, Genoa, Italy, and renamed WHITE DAISY (managed by F Italo Groce, Italy). 1967 – Sold to Garden City Shipping Co. Inc., Panama, (same name). 1968 – Sold to Compagnia Nav. Rivabella SA, Panama, and renamed ROBERTINA (managed by World Shipping SA). In June 1970 she developed a leak off Cape Palmas, Liberia. She was beached 2 miles west of Cape Garraway, but declared a total constructive loss. (ref :- wikipedia)(benjidog.co.uk)
