Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Tea bowl, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a tapering foot-rim, bell-shaped body with flaring mouth and everted lip-rim, the exterior sides of the body fluted and moulded with alternating embossed large and small rococo panels composed of narrow scrolling lines; delicately painted in puce, green, blue and yellow with the Chinese 'Stag hunt' pattern, to the exterior sides of the body the two larger panels contain small Chinese-style scenes, one showing figures standing beneath trees by the side of a pagoda, the other showing a figure watching a dog chase a stag, the two smaller panels painted with flower heads, the interior bottom of the bowl painted with a small collection of rocks and plants, to the interior lip-rim a formal border in puce of stylized spreading foliage interspersed with a pendant motif.
