Bronski Beat

Bronski Beat's 1984 single ‘It Ain’t Necessarily So’. Contained in large card envelope with ‘Victory to the Miners’ written on the front in felt tip. Used as presentation pack by Bronski Beat and containing a signed photograph of the group, along with their 1984 singles ‘Smalltown Boy’, ‘Why’, and ‘It Ain’t Necessarily So’ (taken from their debut album ‘The Age of Consent’). The package was given out to members of the Lesbians and Gay Men Support the Miners (LGSM) organisation before the December 1984 benefit concert by Bronski Beat held in the Electric Ballroom in Camden High Street, London. The crowd of 1,500 were made up of fans, gay activists and striking miners and their supporters. The concert raised £5,500 for LGSM.
