2 different sized coins carried for good luck or love token. Wiltshire. The coins have a hole drilled through the top: a smaller hole in the larger coin and a larger one in the smaller coin. Larger coin depicts Britannina on one side (facing right) and the inscription: ‘BRITANNIAR: REG: FID: DEF:’ [Queen of Britain, Defender of the Faith] and a portrait of Queen Victoria (facing left) on the verso, with the date 1848 below. The inscription surrounding the portrait reads: 'VICTORIA DEI GRATIA' [Victoria by the grace of God]. The smaller coin is indecipherable.
