Tea kettle (hot water kettle), tin-plated copper, spherical form with curved spout, hinged handle and domed cover with a lead pineapple finial, the exterior covered with a black japan and decorated with floral sprays, either side of the body painted with a circular medallion with a gilt border and containing a boy's head in profile. Stand, tin-plated copper, bucket-shaped form standing on three feet and with hinged handles to either side, to the upper rim three supports for the kettle to rest upon, into the interior bottom of the stand fits a hollow dome with an aperture in the top, possibly part of the charcoal burner the rest of which is missing; the stand covered with a black japan and decorated around the outside with floral sprays.
