Annie Jane Hughes-Griffiths’ monogrammed suitcase. It travelled with her on the peace tour of the United States.
After the First World War, 390,296 women from Wales signed a petition to the women of the United States of America calling for world peace. Annie Hughes-Griffiths led the delegation who transported the peace petition in an oak chest and presented it to the women of America in 1924.
