Doll made from a bone, dressed in cloths.
A bone with a black-brown patina, wrapped in rags of various types: brown silk organza, champagne-coloured silk twill, white work embroidered cotton, and fine silk with a pale lavender ‘Ikat’ pattern. The 'hood' (made from herringbone twill with thin blue and wider pale pink stripes) has been shaped and hemmed. White substance on surface of bone at thinner end.
A bespoke storage box has been created to house the doll. Both upper and lower part of the box have a recess to accommodate the shape of the doll. It is held together with cotton tape and Velcro. The box contains silk fragments that have separated from the doll, which have been folded into tissue paper.
