Soup tureen, white stoneware, standing on three claw feet, the top of each foot moulded with a mask of a human face, the body in the form of a pointy-ended oval with bulbous sides and slightly flaring lip-rim, twin horizontal loop handles to either end of the body with spiral moulding to each terminal, domed cover in the form of a pointy-ended oval, to the top of the cover an upright loop handle as on the body; the exterior sides of the body and cover moulded with an embossed decoration of alternating basket-work and diaper panels overlaid with rococo scrolls, left in the white and salt-glazed.
