Plate, buff coloured earthenware, circular shape, standing on a straight-sided tapering foot-rim, curving sides and spreading rim; covered all over with a blue tinged white tin-glaze, the upperside of the plate painted in blue with a chinoiserie-style design, to the centre of the well a stylized floral rosette, a blue ground to the rim against which is reserved six large heart-shaped panels containing stylized flowers and foliage, alternating with six smaller circular panels containing floral sprigs, the underside of the plate decorated with blue dashes and floral motifs, the glaze chipped off around the rim, some plaster restoration to part of the rim.
