Letter sent to Iorwerth Peate on 28 March 1946 by Ivor Gatty, identifying a similarity between the Welsh Mari Lwyd custom and the Old Horse custom performed in the areas around the Nottingham and Derbyshire boundary and also Lancashire, with particular reference to the village of Hooton Roberts located betwen Rotherham and Doncaster. The letter also contains a section of a pamphlet written by S.O. Addy about the custom of 'Guising and Mumming in Derbyshire, circa 1900.
