Order of service for the funeral of Hettie Williams, 16 August 2018. Hettie Williams was teaching her first year class when the coal tip slid onto Pant Glas Junior School, Aberfan. Known by her maiden name Miss Taylor, she was from Rhymney, Caerphilly, and had only been teaching at Pantglas for a few years when the landslide happened. The 23 year old made her terrified pupils hide under their desks as the walls cracked around them and would later lead them to safety. She died from a heart attack at the age of 75 on 3 August 2018, 500 attended the funeral.
