Plate, buff earthenware, covered with a bluey-white tin-glaze, standing on a recessed base, spreading, cushion-moulded sides, forming a deep, steep-sided centrral well and wide rim; covered with a very blue-tinged white tin-glaze, the glaze heavily chipped around the outer rim; decorated in underglaze blue, in the centre, with an arrangement of chinoiserie-style flowers, emerging from a rock, around the cavetto, a border consisting of panels of stylized flowers interspersed with lattice-work, around the rim with a geometric line border of triangles, lozenges and semi-circles.
