Teapot from a cabaret service, duck-egg soft-paste porcelain, circular foot, ovoid body, concentric rings around foot and base of body, high collar neck slightly cushion shaped with an everted rim, recessed shallow-domed cover with a entwined dolphin finial, small spout with basal flutes and serpent-head mouth, complex moulded handle with a grooved body rising from a basal husk, and terminating in a scroll thumbpiece and paterae and second husk at body junction; painted in enamels with repeating pattern of a rose on gilt moss repeated three times to either side of body, and three times on cover and interspersed with small gilt stars; gilt scroll around neck, gilt lines around foot, collar and rim, gilt deckel edge inside rim, gilt detailing on moulding of spout, handle finial, etc.
