Built 1965 by Greenock Dockyard Co., Greenock (with B&W 2SA 7-cylinder oil engine built by J.G.Kincaid & Co Ltd., Greenock), for Clan Line Ltd (Union Castle Line), Glasgow. 1977 – Ownership transferred to Union Castle Line and renamed DOVER CASTLE. 1979 – Renamed DOVER UNIVERSAL (same owner), managed by Cayzer, Irvine Shipping Ltd. 1981 – Sold to Invergordon Shipping Corp., Greece and renamed GOLDEN SEA., managed by Kappa Maritime Ltd., London.
