Linen ground embroidered with coloured silks in cross and eyelet stitch. In three main sections. In the first: two broad horizontal bands of ornament above and below band of motifs including a house, two dogs and two trees. In the second: partially illegible verse and maker's name, age and date, with band of zigzag ornament below. In the third: two diagonal lines of cross stitch forming triangular sections, containing detached motifs of flowering plants, stars, birds, with geometric design bottom centre.
