LINEN, embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. At the top in five horizontal rows separated by ornamental stripes are capital and small letters of the alphabet and numerals to 9 twice repeated. Below is the inscription "Jane Lloyd / Aged 12 / Cardigan June 10 1839 / The lilies of the field / That quickly fade aw / ay may well to us a lesson / yield who die as soon as / They / A B J Lloyd". There is a narrow zig-zag border.
