Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, oval shape with rounded slightly spreading foot-rim, straight sides with a slightly raised central rib around them, and a flat shoulder which slightly overhangs the sides, straight spout with two raised rings around it high angular handle, round flat cover with to the centre a finial modelled in the form of a bunch of grapes, moulded leaves around the base of the finial; the exterior body of the teapot, the spout and the top of the cover covered with a thickly spotted decoration of floral sprigs in polychrome enamels, including roses and pansies, and smaller gilt leaf sprigs, gilt lines around the edge of the shoulder and lip-rim of the teapot and the rim of the cover, a gilt stripe to the handle, the finial painted in puce and green, the moulded leaves picked out in gilt. The foot-rim of the teapot chipped.
