Teapot, white stoneware, standing on a rounded foot-rim, globular body, a narrow raised band at the lip-rim with inner flange, curving crabstock spout, crabstock loop handle, round slightly domed cover, an acorn-shaped finial to the centre of the cover, a blocked-up pierced steam hole to one side of the cover, an indentation to either side of the rim of the cover; crudely painted in polychrome enamels with to one side of the body a head and shoulders portrait of a young female figure clad in a low cut dress against a blue ground enclosed within a circular lattice-work border in green with the inscription "Charlotta Regina" to the top of the border, a spray of flowers to either side of this circular panels, to the other side of the body a winged figure clad in flowing draperies and blowing a horn sits on a cloud against a blue ground within a lobed pink border, a spray of flowers to either side of this lobed panel, green markings to the spout and handle, the cover painted with a spray of foliage on a mottled green ground, the acorn finial painted green, covered with a salt-glaze.
