Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Plate, pale buff coloured earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, a very slightly beaded edge to the outer rim; covered all over with a white tin-glaze, this then painted in blue with to the centre of the well within a circular central reserve the inscription "Katherine Richards / 1742" with small scrolling motifs above and below it, this central reserve surrounded by a chinoiserie-style border extending onto the rim, of a stylised pagoda-like building and spreading sprays of flowers and foliage with a fence-like design to one side, a brown edge to the outer rim, the glaze chipped around the edge of the rim.
