TAFELBERY (whale factory ship). Launched 1930. 28 January 1941 she was damaged by a mine three miles south of Barry and beached at Porthkerry. 1943 renamed EMPIRE HERITAGE. 8 September 1944 she was torpedoed and sunk by U-Boat U482, 43 miles north west of Londonderry. All 113 people on board died.
