cast iron drum with ribbed plates bolted to its sides. The gaps between the plates and the drum have been filled with a light grey material possibly lead. There is a large square hole with two smaller square holes on either side of it in the closed end of the drum. A casting with four spokes radiating from the corners of a square hole is bolted to lugs projecting from the inside of the drum at the open end. Two of the nuts and bolts holding this casting in position are missing and three of the nuts and bolts holding the plates on the side of the drum are missing [RP; 15/10/2007]
