Prize bag

Eisteddfod prize bag awarded to Mair Jones (Mair Afan), 1930.

Small red velvet bag with V-shaped flap trimmed with gathered white silk: plain silk fabric is stitched into a narrow tube and then gathered. White ribbon stitched to corners of bag with decorative bows at either side for wearing round neck. The way the flap is constructed does not allow the bag to be opened fully.
