Metal casing, with single shaft with 23 knives, spirally arranged; pulley driven.
Object found in parts. Many parts were painted grey. Parts include: 1 - mixing chamber, made up of 4 cast parts bolted together for transport. 2 - 'mixer' shaft with knives/blades bolted through it in spiral arrangement. Traces of orange paint were found on this part during cleaning. 3 +4 (DSCF2940,2942) - 2 cast plates that bolt to the end of the main chamber, through which the mixer shaft emerges. 5 to 8 (DSCF2889) - 2 spanners, a rod with nuts and washers and a shaped iron bar. 9 (DSCF2951) - a shaft bearing on a cast stand. 10 (DSCF2947) - shaft bearing on a small cast support. 11 (DSCF7285) - an iron bar on which is mounted 2 iron rods on a slider, attached via a rod to a wheel fixed to the bar. The bar has a bracket on one end with a wooden wedge. The whole assmebly could fix to the side of the large cast bearing support pt.9. 12 (DSCF7384) - iron wedge for holding a wheel on a shaft. 13 (DSCF7385, 7386) - a short tube/sleeve that may fit over the end of a shaft.
