Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A cast dress fastener made of tin alloy. Its form consists of two solid decorative circular domed attachments, one at each end of a 'C' shaped bar. The bar is rectangular in cross-section.
Each disc face is decorated with a hollow sexfoil in relief. The petals of the sexfoil are vesica-shaped and hollow. Each petal is connected to the next by a similarly shaped vesica at right angle and there is a small dot in each void between the petals.
The decoration is less clear on one of the discs.
