Eisteddfod prize bag awarded to Mair Jones (Mair Afan), 1930.
small square bag made of piece of hessian fabric that's been folded in half, embroidered with green, pink red and yellow wool, depicting grass and three flowers. Upper edge finished with overcast stitches in green wool. Side seams made with running stitches using white thread (no turn-backs, but edges left raw). Yellow silk ribbon (to wear around neck) attached to either side of bag with stitched bows.
