Butter-dish, soft-paste porcelain, the lower part of the body plate-shaped with rounded foot-rim, curving sides and spreading rim, a slightly raised edge to the well, from the centre of the well rises a round pot with cylindrical sides, two raised bands around the upper part of the pot, round slightly domed cover to the pot with two shallow concave indentations to either side of its rim, to the top of the cover an upright flat-topped handle; delicately painted with to the sides of the well and rim of the plate, the exterior sides of the pot and to the cover, polychrome sprigs of flowers, narrow blue bands with gilt markings to the edge of the well and rim of the plate, to the base of the pot and to the raised bands around its top, to the rim of the cover and to the handle, a gilt beaded edge to the outer rim of the plate, to the lip-rim of the pot and to the rim of the cover.
