Teapot and cover
Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a high spreading foot with three raised ribs around the top, ovoid body, flaring neck, curving spout with the lip modelled in the form of an animal head, high loop handle with a moulded flower to the upper terminal and a mask to the lower terminal, round domed cover with to the centre a bud-shaped finial and a pierced steam hole to one side; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to either side of the exterior body of the teapot a large spray of flowers, the foot, exterior neck, spout and handle of the teapot and the finial on the cover painted gilt, a gilt band around the rim of the cover. The underside of the cover chipped.
