Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Large Gorsedd banner. Bottom edge cut to three peaks. Made from blue damask with heavy embroidery, using metal thread, applied areas of velvet which in turn have been embroidered with cotton thread. Also areas of raised work decorated with metal beadwork; back is lined with undyed linen canvas. 8cm wide dark green velvet border decorated with stitched oak leaves and acorns, within the border is a large image of the sun featuring a red Welsh dragon, below is a green velvet circle and on the centre bottom is a flowering leek. Selvage on proper right side edge (blue damask ground fabric). Five lines of inscription in couched metal thread embroidery: 'Yn wyneb haul...'
