Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Virtually complete bronze looped palstave with a narrow blade. The upper sides hav a very slight concavity, the become along the mid and loer sections and divergent to an unexpanded edge. There is a slight waisting below th stop. A sinlge medial ridge extends about half way down each blade surface. The stop levels are misaligned indicating mismatching of mould parts. The but is sub-rounded and slighlty assymetric in plan view and the loop is complete and narrow in side-section.
Site Name: Nantmel, Powys
Notes: The palstaves were reportedly found in 5 different locations on different days by the same finder. This has been shown to be extremely unlikey and the coronor found in favour of the palstaves being directly associated and therefore treasure.
