Classical pottery vessel
Unguentaria vase, with a thin stem and thin neck, body of vase is wider in the middle creating an unstable vessel that would need a support stand or a cord to hang it from to keep it upright. Also the base is unfinished thus the vase was never intended to free stand. It has a lipped rim which is partly missing and a fragment of surface pottery missing from belly, otherwise complete.
