Linen ground embroidered with coloured wools, mainly in cross stitch. Zig-zag border enclosed within straight lines. Upper half: four rows, separated by a band of satin stitch, containing upper and lower case alphabets, and numerals 1 to 12. Lower half: maker's inscription, surrounded by stylized plant, bird, dog and heart motifs and potted flowering tree with birds. Some moth damage to stitching.
