Fruit Stand or Centre Piece, soft-paste porcelain, slight yellowish tinge, very thinly glazed, circular form, standing on a shallow spreading foot, columnar collared stem swelling to a flange, shallow bowl, the rim moulded in six large lobes and six small, moulded with foliate c-scrolls with slight fluting to cavetto; two horizontal square handles beneath rim; painted in the centre with a scene in a deer park, one deer in the foreground, others, smaller, seated beneath a tree in the background with a castle visible amongst the distant trees, painted in muted browns, blues and greens; the underside of the bowl painted either side with large sprays of flowers, including roses, dull and muted colouring, with foliage of a greyish hue; the rim with a deep blue ground, unfinished with blurring and feathering to the outer edges.
