Plate, no footring, transfer-printed on-glaze in purple manganese with a an armed cutter in sail; boat on far horizon to left. Densely patterned border of quatrefoils within diapers, interspersed with semi-circles of radiating petals, lacy inner border of semi-circles and pendant drops. Rim enamelled orange.
