Post-Medieval silver dress hook

A silver gilt dress hook. The decorative roundel once adorned the front of a dress-hook loop, to the back of which are soldered three sections of wire (which when complete formed the trefoil loop for the hook). The slightly domed silver gilt boss has a border of 'cable-twist' filigree wire, wound in a spiral to create to two strands. Within this, there are five cable-twist 'filigree' wire circlets and a small granulated pellet in the interspace.
