¾ Port bow view of S.S. HENRY HADLEY at Cardiff Docks. Liberty Ship.

EC2-S-C1 type vessel built 1944 by the St John’s River Shipbuilding Co., Jacksonville Florida (engine by General Machinery Corp., Hamilton, Ohio) , for the US War Shipping Administration. She was named after the American conductor of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra (c.1911). Laid up at Mobile from 1951, she was eventually broken up at Panama City in 1972.
