Sucrier, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a rounded spreading waisted foot-rim, rounded lower body and cylindrical sides, round domed cover with to the top a finial modelled in the form of a lion; finely painted in polychrome enamels with around the exterior sides of the sucrier and the top of the cover looping floral festoons and the occasional scattered leaf sprig, a border around the exterior lip-rim of the sucrier and the rim of the cover of pearl dots on a chocolate band between gilt lines, gilt lines around the lower body of the sucrier, the rim of the cover and the finial on the cover, the lion finial picked out in gilt with a completely gilt head. Both the sucrier and the cover are cracked and repaired.
