Built 1941 as EMPIRE CABOT by William Gray & Co Ltd, West Hartlepool (engine by Central Marine Engineering Works, West Hartlepool), for MoWT, managed by Sir R. Ropner & Co. Ltd., 1945 – Sold to Sir R. Ropner &Co., West Hartlepool, and renamed CLEARPOOL. 1955 – Sold to Cardigan Shipping Co., Cardiff, and renamed GRELMARION. 1959 – Sold to Bowring & Curry Ltd., and renamed RACHEL. She was broken up at Hong Kong later that year.
