Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Maroon silk kerchief with formalised batik pattern in pink and white; mass produced type; tabby weave. The kerchief has selvages on either side which means that the full width of the woven fabric is 91.5cm; the selvages feature a thick white yarn in the warp. Top and bottom edges have a very narrow,double-turnback (2mm), hemmed with hand-stitched overcast stitches using a dark thread; the kerchief is 83cm high.
