Limited edition print numbered 124 of 750. Signed in pencil by artist. Class 40 No 40 020 'Franconia' seen here on an autumn morning in the late 1970's during shunting operations at the works of the Associated Octel Company Limited at Amlwch on the Isle of Anglesy, the terminus of the branch line from Gaerwen. This line was used solely for works traffic from 1964 until cessation of all rail services in 1994. Sulphur from Mostyn Docks, carried in open hopper wagons and liquid chlorine in tank wagons were taken to the works and the productions of ethylene dibromide taken away, again in tank wagons. At one time there was sufficient traffic to warrant two trains per day. The train usually worked by locomotives of classes 24, 25, 40 or 47 from Llandudno Junction shed.
