Set of three medallions set by Gwilym Evans to his parents in Treorchy following the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. Inscribed with the message 'ODDI WRTH GWILYM I NHAD A MAM POB PETH YN DDA'. Transcription continues from one to the other. Pierced design of six pointed stars.
Mr & Mrs Evans moved to Treorchy from Carmarthenshire in about 1870. They had 14 children – five (including Gwilym) emigrated to the USA.
