The leg and catchplate of a brooch of very similar cross section and decorative detail to No. 24 above. Traces of vegetation aer evident in the corrosion and it seems likely that the brooch was lost in the straw or bracken covered floor of an accommodation area, perhaps barracks, and was subsequently removed when the floor covering material was renewed.
