Plate made from soft-paste porcelain with clear glaze, slightly flaring foot-ring concave sides and plain rim; at the centre of the well is a group of marine shells and plants, transfer printed under the glaze in light brown, narrow band of gilding at the well and thick band of gilding at the rim.
