Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (Factory)

Plate, earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, slightly raised edge to the well, eight notches and lobes to the rim; transfer-printed in black with the 'Oriental Basket' pattern, a tall-stemmed bowl containing flowers in the foreground with exotic birds to either side of it, in the background a pseudo-oriental landscape with European and Oriental shipping and Oriental buildings, a border of flowers and foliage around the bottom portion of the scene, a black band to the rim.
