Sports cap of bordeaux silk velvet, crown constructed of 6 triangular sections of fabric, in centre is a domed button covered with twisted coils of white metal. A metal thread cord is wound round the button's edge and at the end is a tassel of white metal purl. Centre front embroidered with coils of metal; heraldic shield with lion surrounded by border of fleurs-de-lys; underneath: scroll reading 'Gorau Chwarae cyd chwarae'. Peak embroidered with metal purl '1969-70 ISE'. Printed stitching template is visible underneath embroidery. Peak stiffened (card?) and edges trimmed with 2 braids of white metal. Cap is lined with black cotton sateen. Towards centre of cap, the lining is pleated to accommodfate the narrowing shape. It is stitched to a flat oval section of fabric (9.8 and 11.2cm) A white cotton tape is stitched across this central oval (side to side).
