Candlestick

Devlin, Stuart (Silversmith)

Candlestick, cylindrical form with a plain spreading foot with narrow foot ring, the drip pan and candleholder of the same form but inverted, with a flattened rim; the foot and drip pan are highly polished and plain, the body is formed of a cast section of textured, aysmmetric 'filigree', the presence of one vertical seam suggests this was cast in a single flat sheet, then shaped and soldered to form the body.
