Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
The bowl and a small length of the handle of a much damaged silvered copper alloy spoon. The line of the handle is continued as a tapering rib down the back of the bowl. On the front, the bowl has a ridged and moulded lip. the small, rounded bowled spoon of this type, the cochleare, was common in the first and second centuries AD, though its popularity declined in the second century.
