Plate, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain with a pale green translucency; foot rim curving into flared spreading sides; transfer printed in underglaze blue, with the so-called 'Elephant pattern' - a Chinoiserie style landscape with a willow tree, two large flowers, and a fret-work fence surrounding a garden containing two intricately shaped bushes; around the edge, a narrow border of a florette trellis, with Chinoiserie flowers below, and an inner continuous scroll and rising sun pattern; underglaze blue print outlined and detailed in gilt, and a gilt band to the lip.
